We had a really cool RIB tour with Go2Lofoten in Svolvær. Thanks for making a memorable trip, and it was amazing to watch white tailed eagles up close We... read more can highly recommend @go2lofoten_as
august 6, 2020Very good experience!! We were two families of 7 total (adults + teenagers) travelling together at the end of July 2020. The booked 3-hour fishing tour ended up being... read more a 4+ hours tour as our guide let us fish longer and drove us closer to the dolphins we spotted on our return trip and also gave us some extra time out fishing / feeding leftovers to seagulls due to the superb weather that day. Our guide was informative, helpful, calm and friendly. He taught us how to fish, select depth & why, care for the fish, the laws for fishing, to slay the fish, spoke warmly about protecting the species (not over-fishing, but only fish what you will actually eat.) And he was a bit if a tourist guide too enroute. We would surely recommend him (and presumably his brothers too. We met one of them as we docked, he seemed like a friendly fellow too) We got a cup of hot coffee or blackcurrant enroute. But do bring some food and maybe a pack of wet wipes for the trip. We brought freshly baked cinnamon rolls & shared with the others. Much appreciated after some hours on board... and the wet wipes are ... let's just say that fish smells and it's much nicer to eat if your hands don't smell like fish... 😉 …
august 1, 2020We were lucky to be recommended this company by our hotel, and had a really nice trip with our captain Johannes. As it turns out, when the weather is bad... read more other places in Lofoten, Svolvær has calmer wins due to its location. We were able to go out on a private trip despite bad weather in Henningsvær where we stayed, and caught a lot of fish. Not only did Johannes take us out on short notice, but he also gutted our fish for us and froze them so we could bring them with us the next day. Very service oriented and a great storyteller!

We had a great experience on our trip July 18. The weather was shifting and we had some rain and wind but it was still great! We had our sydvests... read more on (the legacy headwear of lofoten and a great souvenir). The fishing started without results for the first tries and the captain wanted to move , but suddenly things started to happen and yes we stayed at the spot and hauled in fish of all kinds. It was very exciting for all the family. On the way back in good waves the crew displayed fileting of the catch which was impressing considering the rolling of the boat. We also got to try but it went better back at port. I highly recommend this for anyone who would like a taste of fishing in lofoten.
august 2, 2022We were a family of eight persons (five from Hamburg, Germany; two from Bretagne, France, and one from Trondheim, Norway) who had booked a fishing trip (four hours) with Go2Lofoten... read more during the Lofoten fisheries.
It turned out to be an unforgettable and spectacular event. Not only did we catch enough fish for the rest of our stay in Lofoten - five days (most "små-sei" (small saithe/ pollock) but also a couple of "Skrei" "pregnant cod !" of "reasonable" size , but we also learned from the skipper how to bleed, gutt, and fillet the fish.
Finally, we also got the opportunity to see the professional fishermen "in action" (NB In Norway, women are now also professionals!), setting their nets etc. And we were lucky to observe a sea eagle! The weather was unusually cold, but blue sky, quiet sea and with the suites provided by Go2Lofoten we were warm....torsteinv310
mars 24, 2023This was supposed to be the highlight of my 5 days in Lofoten as I am an extreme fishing enthusiast! But the trip was a BIG disappointment! Their “advertisement” said... read more that they would offer all the equipment I would need, so I didn’t bring my own fishing rod. This turned out to be a big mistake cause they only had 7 rod’s for the 7 people on board, and I ended up with the one that was destroyed. For tourists who have never fished before, I guess it might be okay, but for someone who knows, this was a disaster! If I could I would have just left the boat! I feel tricked and wish I had spent my evening and money on something else! If you love fishing as much as me, I recommend you to chose a more professional company! …
juli 1, 2021Great fishing experience with a very capable guide (Johannes), that told local tales and gave us good advice on how to catch fish. Will recommand the firm and the guide... read more especially!

Amazing combined eagle-/historical 2 hours trip with speedboat (RIB)! In nice weather and calm sea we experienced a wonderful trip around the islands surrounding Svolvær. Proper security measures is taken.... read more Discovered around 8 sea eagles at the same time flying close to the boat, and fed by the captain. Captain told about early settlements back to the viking age. Be aware of the potential high speed, people with back issues should be cautioned. Personally I liked it very much!
juli 23, 2022Go2Lofoten was 11/10 and a huge bang for the buck.
Me and some fishing enthusiasts joined the fishing trip which took us to great spots out on the open... read more ocean, basically promising fish. It delivered, and all 25 on board got multiple fish 0,5-4kgs.
Johannes and his brother tells stories and jokes while helping the inexperienced and people who gets tangled. Great guides!
august 15, 2022Great experience, they take their time to look for eagles and to explain everything. They make sure not to disturb the birds whilst still getting close.
It is a local... read more family busisness and this you feel!
juli 25, 2022We can highly recommend go2lofoten for a fishing trip. On the way out (about 1-1.5h) the guide told us a lot of interessting facts about lofoten and the fishery. He... read more found then really nice places to fish where everybody on the boat could catch a lot of pollack, sometimes even big fishes too! Everyone had his own fishing rod and he showed us how to fish (really beginner friendly).
Before we headed back he showed us how to filet the fish, so we could prepare our dinner on the way back to svolvaer :).
In the end we were on the sea over 5 hours instead of the booked 3 hours trip (guide asked us at the beginning if we are flexible with the time).
The pollack fish was delicious :).
